May 27

Cubmaster's,

Cherokee District Cub Day Camp is 25 days away. We have a great program planned and hope all of our Scout's enjoy it. In addition to swimming, crafts, games, and shooting sports, we will have many great guests. The Carolina Raptor Center, NC Mobile Aquarium, NC Bloodhounds, a Bee Keeper, and old friend to the District, Trina Smith will be here.

Friday will include a hot dog lunch for our campers and families.

Registration will continue to June 12 (forms must be in the office, not postmarked by this date). After that date, the Council will not accept any additional registrations. In hopes of increasing participation, we have decided to drop the late fee for registrations turned in after May 22. Due to ordering constraints, registrations after May 27 can not be guaranteed a shirt. We will accept walk-in registrations on opening day of camp, but again shirts and tote bags are not guaranteed.

Pack's in Caswell and Person Counties will have van transportation available. Details are being finalized and more information will follow.

Each Pack attending camp should send at least one representative to the Round Table on June 4th at Camp Guilrock. This is a required orientation meeting for leaders and parents attending camp with their Scout's. We will be posting the Camp Guide Book on the District website in the near future.

I hope you will encourage your Cub Scouts to participate in the largest event our District has. If you have any questions please contact me, and please feel free to pass this email on to members of your unit as well.
