Cherokee District: May 8th
Dear Scout Leader,
On Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Cherokee Scout Reservation, our district will have a very important Roundtable. Mr. Steve Hale, Director of Emergency Services for Rockingham County, is to be our speaker. Mr. Hale is interested in facilitating ways for our young men to be an integral part of emergency services for our 3 counties. In addition there will also be training for leaders about avoiding difficulties in the case of a lost child situation.
The Roundtable staff requests that at least one adult leader and a youth leader attend this meeting. Also, it would be fine to have a member of your unit committee present as well. Everyone is welcome to attend. A meal will be served so we do need a head count prior to the Roundtable. You can call Bill “Phatman” Post at (336) 349-8624 to give the head count. A small fee will be collected to help off-set the cost of the meal.
The meeting will start with supper at 7:00 p.m. and we plan to finish by 9:00 p.m. This meeting is for all packs, troops, crews, Varsity Teams, and Explorer Posts I look forward to seeing you on May 8.
Yours in Service,
Bill “Phatman” Post
Roundtable Commissioner
